Personalise your new home

Imagine building a new home which fits your personality – whatever your style – from traditional to modern design, your home is essentially a reflection of your personality. We have put together 6 simple ways you can add your personal touch to personalise your new home.

1. Vintage furniture. People usually opt for brand new furniture to go in their brand new home but why not mix it up a little with vintage pieces? Heading out the the markets or vintage warehouses also makes for a great family trip!

2. Create a nook. If you have a spare corner or nook it doesn’t take much to make it feel homey. Add a window seat and a couple of rugs and hey presto, you have your own little versatile space to relax, read or even use as storage under the seating.

3. Plant a herb garden. there’s nothing quite like fresh ingredients. Claim your garden with your favourite seasonings. A great way to get the kids involved too!

4. Get creative with your kitchen splashback. You don’t have to stick to one colour! Try a mosaic or bright pattern. When you don’t like it replace it!

5. Artwork makes all the difference! Try creating a feature wall of framed artwork, you don’t have to stick to one piece per wall!

6. Soften the spare bedroom with contrasting patterned throws over a simple doona cover.
