Tips to ensure a better building experience

1. Measure out your furniture and add it to the floor plan. This will save you a lot of grief when your couch doesn’t fit in your new living room!

2. Work out where you utilise electrical appliances. For example something as simple as where to plug in the Christmas tree or phone charger.

3. Again consider where you need taps around the exterior of your home, to wash the dog, car or even a shower after the beach.

4. Do your wardrobes account for your needs, long dresses, depth of hangers and enough storage?

5. Consider your bathroom storage and drawers, are they deep enough to store a hairdryer or stand-up bottles?

6. Remember your block doesn’t always have to accommodate your chosen design, consider slight floorplan changes such as a split level design change for building on a hill.
