There is true magic in The Argyle as this design offers high pitched free form living areas, with a towering fireplace, the magic of being at one with the bush in all its moods, while enjoying the warmth and comfort of home.
The Argyle can sit comfortably on many suburban corner lots however is best suited to a rural or semi-rural setting, where the soaring windows of the central living area maximise views and create harmony with the external environment.
The home has been skilfully divided into two zones, with a master suite and office at one end and the secondary bedrooms at the other. Providing even more privacy between these two zones is an activity room, second bathroom and laundry.
At the other end of the home the purpose designed theatre adds volume to the passage, which also serves as a private access point from the carport. The children’s wing has bedrooms large enough for queen sized beds and all the electronic equipment that today’s children enjoy having around.
Bedroom 4 could easily be a guest room. The activity area could also double up as another TV viewing space, a place for the computers or just somewhere for their toys if they are younger children. The bedrooms are located around the bathroom and laundry, both of which are fitted out with first class appointments, including vitreous china basins, cisterns and shrouded pans.
The home theatre location provides circulation directly off the free-form living space and could also double as a bunkroom should the residence be used as a holiday home.
The kitchen design abides by our belief that the chef should be able to freely communicate with guests. The bench top is partly screened by an upstand with a cleverly integrated exhaust fan. As one would expect from The Rural Building Company, every appointment is first class and in keeping with our environmental concerns.
