The colours of Albany

Albany local and Construction and Client Liaison Nicole Wisseling took her photos around the region she calls home.

“One photo was taken a Two People’s Bay, just on the outskirts of Albany at sunset, and the other was also taken at sunset along the Marine Drive in Albany (across King George Sound). I love Albany’s pristine coastlines and its history.

“Fun fact: did you know that in 1914, Australian and New Zealand troops gathered in Albany before leaving for Egypt and then Gallipoli, where they landed on the 25th of April 1915? They sailed out through the heads (Vancouver Peninsula – just to the right of this photo) and into King George Sound, which the photo below is looking partly across.”
