Triple celebrations at Mid West Housing Awards

WA Country Builders won gold in three prestigious categories at the recent HIA-CSR Mid West Housing Awards.

We proudly took out the award for Project Home of the Year, with our superb six-bedroom residence in Waggrakine.

This stunning family residence boasts beautiful stone cladding to the front elevation. The oversized master suite encompasses a private retreat space, an elegant ensuite, and a generous walk-in robe. At the heart of the home lies a spacious free-form living area, offering seamless transitions to the outdoor entertaining space.

Tucked away from the master suite, five additional bedrooms and a well-appointed family bathroom ensure space and comfort for the entire family.

WA Country Builders also won gold with our custom home in Drummond Cove. Winning Best Custom-Built Home up to $500,000, this four-bedroom, two-bathroom residence is designed for comfortable family life, with a large, light-filled living space opening out on to an expansive alfresco. Offering space for everyone, this residence boasts a games room/home theatre and activity room. A large store room off the garage and a kitchen with scullery ensures this is a home with room to move.

Our third award, for Specialised Housing, came out of our collaboration with Sana Living, for our NDIS residences in Geraldton.

Meticulously designed to depart from the institutionalised approach typical of specialised housing projects, aiming instead for the comfort and familiarity of a traditional residential dwelling.

The classic architectural style, inspired by the Hamptons, perfectly complements the coastal setting of the Batavia Coast, incorporating elements like white-washed cladding, a spacious front porch with classic columns, and soft grey render.

Emphasising functionality and accessibility, the layout centres around a welcoming central living area, dining space, and kitchen, catering to the needs of residents, visitors, and support staff alike.

Recognised for surpassing NDIS SDA design standards, these homes stand as a beacon of renewal and inclusivity in the evolving urban landscape of Geraldton.
